Moose & Bean was founded in June 2016, after about a year of learning and experimenting in the art form of chainmaille jewelry. Inspired by the artists of the World of Warcraft community, I wanted to offer my own designs to the world! I continue to learn in hopes of offering unique designs.
Though M&B currently consists of mostly chainmaille, I hope to expand in to other goods in the future as I broaden my horizons in to different forms of art!
Moose and Bean?
In 2011, we adopted our first two wonderful kittens: Venus (a now very fluffy and lazy black scaredy cat) and Artemis (a loud little calico scamp). Over time, they’ve acquired many nicknames, but the ones that have stuck are Bean and Moose, respectively. Our cats have helped shape our early adult lives, and will always be a part of us. We honor that by naming our various ventures after them.
About the Owner
My name is Liz, and I am the sole designer at Moose & Bean! I live in Southern California with my husband and two cats. I love collecting various forms of art, especially figures and enamel pins! At my day job, I am a Producer in the gaming industry. I entered the industry as a Game Master for Asda Story in 2009, later becoming the producer and doing a lot of design work for the game.
When not at work or mailling, I enjoy playing World of Warcraft and watching anime, which inspire many of my designs. Anime like Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, and others pretty much shaped my late childhood (I was always a huge fan of CLAMP). Ragnarok Online was my entry in to the online gaming world, along with my first experiences with game design. Pokemon is another early (and ongoing) gaming love!
I have a degree in interactive design, and enjoy various digital and physical arts. I’ve dabbled in web design since I was 10 years old…the good ol’ days of Geocities, Angelfire, Tripod, and Xoom!
